Widecombe-in-the-Moor is a small village with a handful of specific sights, and the real attraction is the surrounding moorland. Walking, visiting the church, and exploring the ancient farmsteads and stone rows of the high moor are the principal activities. The annual fair in September draws large crowds and is an event in itself.
