A small restaurant in Lynmouth named after the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who spent his honeymoon in the village in 1812. The cooking focuses on local seafood — crab, lobster, and whatever the day boats have landed — alongside Exmoor beef and lamb. The room is compact and unpretentious; the cooking is better than the surroundings might suggest.
Good for a lunch that extends into the afternoon, particularly after a morning walk. The crab sandwiches are worth having if they're on. Service is friendly and unhurried in the manner common to small restaurants in the West Country.
