Getting There

Newquay is reached most easily by car from the rest of the country, but train and air both work for the carless.

Cornwall Airline Newquay (NQY), about ten kilometres east of the town, takes flights from London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Dublin and a handful of European cities. Direct trains from London Paddington run to Newquay in around five hours, with a change at Par on the main line; the branch line to Newquay is one of the prettier short rail trips in England. National Express coaches connect to most major UK cities. Drivers come down the A30 from the M5, with the last forty miles down a single road across Bodmin Moor.
