Things to Do

St Ives is most richly experienced by wandering: through the narrow lanes of Downlong, around the harbour at high and low tide, up to the headland at the Island for the panoramic view of both bays. The two major galleries — Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum — are within ten minutes' walk of each other, and between them they make this one of the most significant places for twentieth-century British art outside London.
