Truro has a reasonable restaurant scene for a small city, with a good spread of independent cafes and restaurants in and around the city centre. The farmers' market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at Lemon Quay is excellent for local produce — Cornish cheese, smoked fish, and seasonal vegetables. The city is not a food destination in itself, but you can eat well here without trying too hard.
