Truro's main sight is its cathedral, which dominates the city centre the way it dominates the surrounding hills. Beyond that, the Royal Cornwall Museum is the best museum in the county, and the city's Georgian and Victorian streets are well worth wandering for their architecture alone. The Hall for Cornwall hosts a serious programme of theatre and music — it is the main regional venue for touring productions from London. For most visitors, Truro is a half-day stop before pushing on to the coast, but it rewards a longer look.
