Hebden Bridge is on the Calder Valley rail line, with regular trains to Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Rochdale, and Manchester. The station is a short walk from the town centre and is one of the main reasons the town works so well as a car-free weekend base.
By road, the valley routes are scenic but slow. Parking is limited on busy weekends, and the steep side streets are not forgiving if you arrive expecting a flat market town.
