Armagh punches well above its weight for a city of its size. Two cathedrals, a functioning observatory and planetarium, an ancient county museum, one of Ireland's oldest public libraries, and the mysterious earthworks of Navan Fort — the prehistoric seat of the High Kings of Ulster — are all within walking distance or a short drive. It is, for its population, one of the culturally richest cities in Ireland.
