Portrush's own beaches and golf are reason enough to visit, but the town is mainly used as a base for the Causeway Coast — one of the finest stretches of coastal scenery in the British Isles. The Giant's Causeway, Dunluce Castle, Bushmills Distillery, and Carrick-a-Rede are all within 30 minutes by car, and can comfortably be visited in a single day.
