A famously good restaurant in unlikely surroundings: an Indian-Italian kitchen run by the Mukhtar family in the heart of Castlebay, often cited as one of the best Indian restaurants in Scotland. The pakora, biryanis, and slow-cooked lamb dishes are properly made; the Italian half of the menu is more conventional but reliable. Small dining room, fills up early, takes reservations by phone.
