Things to Do

Mallaig itself is a working harbour and you can see most of it in an afternoon — the heritage centre, the boats coming in, fish and chips on the quayside. The real reason to be here is the landscape on either side: the silver-white beaches running south to Arisaig, the deepest freshwater loch in Britain inland to the east, and the wild peninsula of Knoydart across the water.
