Harmony Garden surrounds Harmony Hall, an elegant early 19th-century Regency house across the road from the abbey. The National Trust for Scotland runs the garden; the house is let as a holiday rental. Behind high stone walls, the garden has been restored to its original layout of herbaceous borders, a vegetable patch, an orchard, and a long lawn with one of the best views of the abbey ruins and the Eildon Hills behind.
It is quieter than Priorwood across the road, and free to enter. A perfect picnic spot if you have stocked up at the village shops. Open daily April to September.
