Bonawe Ironworks is an eighteenth-century charcoal-fired ironworks near Taynuilt. The complex made pig iron and cannonballs until the nineteenth century, and even when interiors are closed the grounds give a clear sense of the furnace buildings, water power, and industrial landscape that once supported the works.
