Papa Stour

Tiny island northwest of Walls, known for sea caves, arches, stacks, and blowholes.

Papa Stour is a small island reached by ferry from West Burrafirth, north of Walls. Its main draw is the coast, where soft volcanic rock has been cut into caves, arches, stacks, blowholes, and collapsed sea tunnels.

Do not bring a car unless you have a clear reason. The island is small, exposed, and light on visitor services, so a planned day trip is the right way to see it.
