Beaumaris Town Hall

The Beaumaris Town Hall is a small Georgian civic building of 1785, designed by John Hall and standing on Castle Street. Whitewashed with arched ground-floor openings — originally an open market hall — and a slender bell-turret, it forms an attractive group with the Bulkeley Arms and the row of Georgian inns beyond.

The building still functions as the seat of the town council and is occasionally open for civic events and small exhibitions. The interior holds a collection of corporation regalia and town charters dating back to the borough's medieval foundation. Even when closed, the exterior and the surrounding streetscape are worth a few minutes' attention on any walk between the castle and the pier.
