The castle is the obvious first stop, but Beaumaris repays a day or two. Pair the castle with the courthouse and the gaol — between them they tell the full story of medieval and Victorian power in the town — and walk the front from the pier to St Mary's Church.
Out of town, Penmon Priory and the lighthouse make a fine half-day, and a Puffin Island cruise in season adds a wildlife element. For walkers, the path up to Baron Hill or the woodland climb to Castell Aberlleiniog north of town fill any spare time.
