Ko-Ox Han-nah — "Let's Go Eat" in Maya — is San Ignacio's longest-running tourist-friendly restaurant and still the safest bet for first-time visitors who want a proper Belizean meal. The menu spans curries, stew chicken, conch, and the local Mayan-fusion specials; portions are generous and prices reasonable for the centre of town.
The dining room is open-air and casual, a few blocks off Burns Avenue. The chocolate banana cake is famous enough to have its own following. Closed Sundays. Cash preferred.
