William Hawrelak Park is one of Edmonton's best-used river valley parks, with open lawns, wooded paths, and a large pond that turns into a skating spot in winter. In summer it hosts festivals and concerts; the rest of the year it works well as a relaxed walk or picnic stop close to the university side of the city.
