Cottonwood Falls drops through a narrow canyon within the city limits, making it one of the more accessible urban waterfalls in the BC interior. A short trail leads down from the Cottonwood Falls parking area off Cherry Street to a viewpoint above the falls. In spring snowmelt, the water volume is impressive; by late summer the flow slows considerably but the canyon itself remains a pleasant shaded walk.
The falls are a five-minute drive or a reasonable walk from Baker Street — easy to combine with time in the downtown core.
