Most travellers arrive by BC Ferries from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay near Victoria, from Tsawwassen to Duke Point near Nanaimo, or from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay in Nanaimo. Reservations are sensible on summer weekends and around holidays.
Victoria and Nanaimo have airports, and smaller airports serve Comox, Campbell River, Tofino-Long Beach, and Port Hardy. Floatplanes from Vancouver are fast and scenic, especially if you are heading straight to Victoria Harbour or Nanaimo.
