Things to Do

The Bay of Fundy's defining experience is tidal, and everything should be timed around the tides. Hopewell Rocks is the iconic stop — walk the ocean floor at low tide, kayak around the sea stacks at high. Fundy National Park offers coastal walks, waterfalls, and tidal pool exploration on the inner shore.

Wildlife watching is exceptional: Mary's Point for shorebird spectacle in July and August; whale watching tours from Saint Andrews and Grand Manan for right whales, humpbacks, and finbacks.

Saint Andrews is the most historically interesting town on the shore, with a walkable Loyalist grid and access to the extraordinary tidal island at Ministers Island. Check the tide tables — Ministers Island is inaccessible at high water.
