Western Brook Pond is the park's signature view: a glacier-carved, landlocked fjord-like lake hemmed in by cliffs and waterfalls. The boat tour is popular for good reason, but even the walk across bog and coastal plain to the dock builds anticipation.
Book the boat ahead in high season and allow time for the approach trail. The cliffs are at their best when cloud lifts and light starts moving across the walls.
