Perth County Courthouse

The handsome cream-brick courthouse a block north of the central square dates from 1887. Designed by the Toronto firm of Kivas Tully, it is a good example of the High Victorian Gothic style favoured for Ontario public buildings of the period — pointed-arch windows, a heavy stone base, and a square central tower.

It is still in use as the Perth County courthouse, so the interior is not open to casual visitors, but the exterior is a stop on any architectural walking tour of downtown.
