The Townehouse, on Elgin Street, has been Sudbury's main live music venue for decades. Indie rock, folk, punk, country — almost everything that tours through Northern Ontario passes through here. The interior is small and dark with low ceilings, sticky floors, and a long bar.
Cover charges are modest and the schedule runs most nights of the week. Even when there is no band on, it works as a regular pub. A good place to take the temperature of the city.
