Sudbury's attractions split between its mining heritage, its remarkable network of lakes, and the science institutions that grew out of it being the most studied piece of geology on the planet. Science North and Dynamic Earth — sister science museums on opposite sides of town — are the standout, and you should not skip either. Beyond the museums, head for the lakeshore parks and the strange, post-industrial rock landscape that gives the city its character.
