Getting Around

Greater Sudbury sprawls — the amalgamated municipality covers a huge area and most of the interesting sights are far apart. A car is essential to get the most out of the city; Dynamic Earth, Science North, and downtown are on three different sides of Ramsey Lake.

Sudbury Transit runs city buses on weekdays and limited weekend service, but routes are infrequent and slow. Taxis and rideshares work in the downtown core but get expensive for trips between sights.

Downtown itself is compact and easily walked, and Bell Park and Ramsey Lake are best explored on foot.
