Maison Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine

Maison Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine is an eighteenth-century French-style house linked to one of early Canada's most important political figures. La Fontaine, born in Boucherville, became the first Canadian-born premier of the United Province of Canada and helped shape responsible government before Confederation.

The house was moved to its present site in 1964. It is a modest heritage stop, best folded into a wider look at old Longueuil and Boucherville rather than treated as a standalone outing.
