Downtown Prince Albert is walkable — the commercial core, the Diefenbaker House, and the riverfront are all within easy reach on foot. A car becomes necessary as soon as you head out of downtown toward the national park or the casino.
Inside Prince Albert National Park, the main road runs north to Waskesiu. Short hiking trails fan out from the townsite; longer backcountry routes and canoe circuits require planning and some portaging skill. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at Waskesiu in summer.
There is no bus service to the park. Taxis operate in the city. Ride-hailing apps have limited coverage this far north.
