Tico's River is a family company in Turrialba running the Pacuare — the class III–IV river that most people mean when they talk about rafting in Costa Rica — along with the Reventazón and gentler floats for families.
The Pacuare day is long: down to the put-in, five or six hours on the water through a gorge with waterfalls coming off both walls, and back. It is one of the genuinely world-class river trips and it does not require any experience.
