Most of the all-inclusive resorts have their own bars, which are the default option for guests. For something with more character, the bars in Varadero town — the residential Cuban section at the western end of the peninsula — are worth the short trip. La Arboleda is a genuine neighbourhood bar with live Cuban music around the clock. For something completely different, Cueva del Pirata runs a nightly cabaret and disco inside a limestone cave.
