Santa Ana is about 65 km west of San Salvador. The most common approach is by bus: the No. 201 bus runs frequently between San Salvador's Terminal de Occidente and Santa Ana, taking 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Pullman-style coaches also serve the route on a schedule.
By car from San Salvador, take the Autopista del Sur / CA-8 west toward Santa Ana; the drive takes about 1 hour. The nearest international airport is in San Salvador (Comalapa International Airport), about 80 km east.
