Distillerie Bellevue

The Bellevue distillery, near Grand-Bourg, is the largest on the island and produces the biggest range of rums — whites, ambres, and aged expressions. The site includes a well-preserved windmill tower adjacent to the distillery, a reminder that the two technologies — wind-powered mills and steam-powered pressing — once competed for dominance on the island. Bellevue's rums are widely distributed in France and the Caribbean, making this a good place to taste styles you might compare later back home.
