Guanaja is about water, reef, and small island settlements. Bonacca gives you the densest human scene; Mangrove Bight, Sandy Bay, and Savannah Bight show the quieter side of island life. Boats are part of almost every outing, so build slack into your plans.
Diving and snorkelling are the main activities, with reefs around the cays and drop-offs offshore. On land, the island's pine ridges and small beaches make it feel wilder than Roatán or Utila, though marked independent hiking infrastructure is limited.
