Tela's central park is a modest tree-shaded square a couple of blocks back from the beach, fronted by the parish church and surrounded by little shops, pharmacies, and the bakery that locals queue at every morning. There is not much to "see," but it is the easiest place in town to sit and watch life go by.
Evenings bring out ice-cream vendors and families with kids. Sunday Mass at the church opposite is loud and well-attended.
