Ocho Rios does not have its own airport. The nearest is Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, about 105 kilometres to the west — a drive of around two hours along the north coast road. Shared minibuses and taxis operate between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios; expect to pay around US$15–25 for a shared taxi. The other option is Donald Sangster's transfer services or renting a car from the airport.
From Kingston, the drive takes about two hours via the main north-south highway through the mountains. JUTA taxis and shared minibuses operate the Kingston–Ocho Rios route from the Half Way Tree bus terminus. Cruise ships dock directly at the pier in town, putting passengers within walking distance of the main attractions.
