La Buena Vida sits directly on Half Moon Bay, with sand floors, a thatched roof, and stools at the bar that are literally rope swings. The food is solid Caribbean-Mexican: fresh ceviche, grilled fish, fish tacos, and big plates of guacamole, washed down with margaritas or cold Pacífico beer.
It is more expensive than the village places, but the location is unbeatable — you can finish lunch and walk straight into the water. Come at sunset for the views; the bar fills up but the kitchen keeps producing until late.
