Cholula has a lively student-driven bar and cafe scene, especially around San Andrés and the streets near UDLAP. It is more relaxed and younger than Puebla's formal historic centre.
The best approach is to wander in the evening and follow the crowd rather than chase one famous address. Weekends are much busier; midweek is calmer and better for conversation.
