Things to Do

Cholula's main sight is the pyramid complex, but do not reduce the city to a single hilltop church. The tunnels, museum, plaza, convent, and surrounding neighbourhoods make the old ceremonial centre feel layered rather than merely scenic.

The churches are exceptional: San Gabriel for its early colonial scale, Nuestra Señora de los Remedios for its impossible perch, and Santa María Tonantzintla for a riotous interior where Indigenous and Baroque imagery collide. Leave time to wander between San Pedro and San Andrés instead of racing back to Puebla immediately.
