Jardín Velasco is La Paz's central plaza, a shaded square beside the cathedral and near several museums and cafes. It is small, practical, and pleasant in the way Mexican town squares often are.
Use it as a pause between the waterfront and the old centre. In the evening it becomes livelier, but still calm by resort-town standards.
