Playa El Tecolote is farther north than Balandra and feels looser: a broad beach, seafood restaurants, palapas, boats, and views toward Espíritu Santo. It is less ethereal than Balandra but better for a full, lazy beach day.
Come after Balandra if you want lunch and more facilities. Wind can pick up, and the sun is fierce, so shade is not optional.
