Playa el Borrego is the broad beach that gives San Blas its easiest dose of Pacific air. It is long, open, and informal, with palapa restaurants, soft sand, and enough wave action for bodyboarding or beginner-friendly surf days when conditions line up.
It is not polished resort Mexico, which is exactly why it suits San Blas. Come for seafood, sunset, and a loose local rhythm, but bring insect repellent for late afternoon and check currents before swimming.
