Miramar Beach Lighthouse stands near the river mouth east of Tampico, with open views over Playa Miramar and the shipping traffic moving between the Gulf and the port. It is a small sight, but the setting makes it a useful stop if you are already at the beach.
Come for the waterfront view rather than the lighthouse itself: shrimp boats, larger vessels, and the long curve of the beach are the real appeal.
