Catedral de Tehuacan was begun in 1724 and mixes neoclassical and baroque elements. The bright nave and gold-leaf ceiling make it more than just the church beside the square, and its history as a refuge during periods of persecution gives it extra weight.

It is an easy stop while walking the centre of Tehuacan.
