Cervecería Mamut is one of the most celebrated craft breweries in Tijuana, occupying a converted industrial space in the Centro near Avenida Revolución. The brewery focuses on hop-forward ales and experimental styles, and its beers show up on tap at the better bars across the city.
The taproom is low-key and deliberately unpolished — concrete floors, exposed ducts, wooden furniture. A dozen or so taps rotate through the brewery's own production, which includes a solid core range of IPAs and pale ales alongside seasonal specials. Food is minimal (chips, snacks), as the focus is entirely on the beer.
Mamut is popular with the creative and expat communities that have settled in the Centro, and it's one of the best places to have a conversation about what's happening in Tijuana's food and culture scene. The brewery is open from mid-afternoon; closed Monday.
