Curaçao International Airport (also called Hato Airport, IATA: CUR) is about 12 km northwest of Willemstad. Direct flights operate from Amsterdam (KLM, typically 10 hours), Miami, New York, and several South American cities. Connections from elsewhere in the Caribbean are available via Sint Maarten, Aruba, or Trinidad.
From the airport, taxis to central Willemstad cost a fixed rate posted at the arrivals exit — around $25 USD. Car rental desks are in the terminal. Public bus service exists but is slow and inconvenient with luggage. The drive to the city takes 15–25 minutes depending on traffic.
By sea, Willemstad is a regular port of call for Caribbean cruise lines. The cruise terminal is just west of the historic centre in Otrobanda, within easy walking distance of the main sights.
