Eating Out

Granada's restaurant scene clusters along Calle La Calzada and around Parque Central. Street food remains the best value in the city — vigorón (yuca topped with pork crackling and curtido), nacatamales (masa and pork wrapped in banana leaves), and gallo pinto (rice and beans) are the staples. The restaurants on La Calzada cater mainly to tourists but quality has improved considerably in recent years.
