La Paz Centro sits on the busy highway between León (about 30 km north-west) and Managua (about 55 km south-east). Any bus running between the two stops at the entrance to town — buses leave both cities every 15-20 minutes during the day, and the fare is around 25 córdobas from either direction.
The drop-off is on the highway; the centre, the pottery workshops, and the quesillo market are a five-minute walk inland. A small taxi rank at the highway stop will run you to specific addresses for 20-30 córdobas.
