Eating Out

Providenciales has a surprisingly good restaurant scene for an island its size, concentrated along Grace Bay Road and Leeward Highway. Prices are high by Caribbean standards — Provo runs on expensive tourism and import costs are real — but standards are generally decent.

Grace Bay has several good options along the beach strip. Bay Bistro, right on the sand at the Sibonné, is reliable for lunch and casual dinners. Hemingway's on the Beach at the Sands Resort gets consistent praise. Somewhere on the Beach in the Grace Bay Club is the most upscale beachside option.

For something closer to local cooking, the Blue Hills settlement on the north coast has a few fish fry spots serving grilled fresh catch, conch, and rice and peas at a fraction of Grace Bay prices. Conch is the signature dish of the Turks and Caicos — cracked conch, conch fritters, and conch chowder appear on every menu, and the locally caught variety is genuinely good.
