Flagstaff is on Interstate 40, about 140 miles north of Phoenix. The drive from Phoenix on I-17 takes around two hours. The Flagstaff Pulliam Airport has limited service from Phoenix Sky Harbor; most visitors arrive by road or by Amtrak.
The Southwest Chief, Amtrak's Los Angeles to Chicago train, stops in Flagstaff daily in each direction. The station is in the heart of downtown, making this one of the better cities in the Southwest to arrive in by rail. Greyhound and regional coach services also connect Flagstaff to Phoenix, Tucson, and the Grand Canyon.
