Mesa Historical Museum covers the city's local history in a pair of modest museum buildings. Its strongest exhibit is on spring training baseball in Arizona, especially the Cactus League story that has shaped Mesa's winter and early spring calendar.
It is not as broad as the Arizona Museum of Natural History downtown, but it fills in a different side of the city. Baseball fans and repeat visitors to Mesa will get the most from it.
